PVDA Ride for Life

2017 Theme Winner Announced

Announcing the winner of the PVDA Ride for Life 2017 Theme Contest! The winner – Shari Packard! The Theme – “Unity”! On behalf of R4L Chair Marcia Mia – Committee members Jeannette Bair and Pat Artimovich surprised Shari with her prizes – chocolate covered strawberries and a pink R4L vest yesterday.

Shari wrote of her entry: “…representative of R4L’s cause as well as what seems to be needed in today’s world. UNITY – let’s face it – anyone can have breast cancer. It takes people from all walks of life, with diverse backgrounds, interests, strengths & weaknesses, working as one, to conquer this disease. Our Fun Freestyles will be unique to each rider(s), but united in the cause.”

Our judges also felt it symbolized the unit sought between horse and rider as well as the PVDA and Johns Hopkins Breast Center.
